Cheap breadboard wires

When testing circuits on a breadboard or my modules, I often need jumper wires with non-standard length. Yes, there are packs of factory wires in shops, but why buy, when you can make them? =)

So we need:
  • PLD-40 or similar headers. I have plenty of them, new and desoldered from different devices

  •  Wires =)

  •  "Third hand" tool. Optional, but very useful thing

  • Preparing wires. Cut them to needed length and strip isolation.

  • Put header to "third tool" and solder wires =)

  • Pull out wires with pins. Not bad, but we can do better.

  • Isolate solder points with heat-shrinking tube. Simple lighter is ok for this job.

  • Profit!
